Shunt reactors are used to balance (compensate) systems in facilities where capacitive reactive energy is high such as banks, radiolink stations, places where DC drives are concentrated, UPS, long underground cable lines, etc. In automatic compensation systems, it is necessary to avoid paying a "capacitive energy penalty" by ensuring that the network does not remain in the capacitive zone.

If shunt reactors are used, electrical and electronic devices will not be damaged as a result of the capacitive load in the system increasing the network voltage. Our standard production or custom-made shunt reactors are manufactured from high-magnetic-permeability silicon sheet cores with air gaps. This results in low power losses and silent operation.

Our single-phase shunt reactors are produced according to customer demands, from copper or aluminum wire in a desired power range from 0.25 kVAR to 10 kVAR.
